Workin' Man

Joshua has been quite the little worker lately. He has helped daddy put our new shop vac together...

Baby's Heartbeat

We had an appointment a week ago and I was able to record the heartbeat of the little one. I am continually amazed at the miracle of life and how much stronger the heartbeat was last week compared to what it was at week 7. Simply amazing.

Lambs and Flowers

Joshua loves to wear shoes. Joshua's shoes, daddy's shoes, mommy's shoes, it doesn't matter. He even tries to put a pair of his own shoes when he already has a pair on! This is a picture from today. Joshua stepped into a pair of my shoes, and even shuffled half way through the kitchen before he stepped out of them.









Joshua's 17 month picture. He is getting so big. It makes me sad sometimes, but he is at such a fun age right now, I try to treasure every moment! I am so blessed to be able to spend every day with him!




On Saturday morning I slept in a little, so while I was still in bed, Joshua told his daddy that he really wanted to buy me some flowers. He knew that I was really anxious for spring! When they came back, they woke me up with the flowers! How sweet! I have such a thoughtful son. :) (Thank-you Cody)

Expecting #2!

We are happy and excited to announce that we are expecting baby Statema to arrive at the end of September! So far things have been going O.K., except for the fact that I have been a little sick, but I think I am getting over that now! I'm now 15 weeks along and in the second trimester. We are not planning on finding out if we are having a boy or a girl this time. We found out with Joshua, but I would to have a surprise at least once! We will most likely have 2 children in cribs and diapers at the same time, so it will be challenging, but God will give us the strength that we need! We thank you in advance for all of your prayers as we prepare to transition to having 2 children!

Play-Dough, Horsie Rides and Swinging

Joshua did not enjoy touching the sticky Play-Dough. In fact, he doesn't like anything sticky like tape or frosting. I guess he is a typical 1st born!

Joshua laughed and laughed when he got a horsie ride from Grandpa Statema last weekend! He loved it and always asked for more! (Actually, he signed "Please" which meant that he wanted to do it again.)
