The Illness

So we took Joshua to the Mall of America to McDonald's last week Friday night and had a great time! However we must not have sanitized the chair and table well enough because Joshua came down with one nasty cold late Saturday night. Sunday morning it was like a snot bomb went off in his nose, signaling beginning of a long messy week. Rochelle took him into the doctor on Monday morning where we were so pleased and excited to be able to buy a Nebulizer to give Josh treatments every 4 hours. Needless to say, but making a little boy who has a very independent and energetic disposition wear a face mask that is blowing a medicated mist into his face while he sits in one place for 15 minutes is not an easy task. Thankfully we found out that he loves the Ducktales and Talespin DVDs that we got last year. This is only the second or third time that he has been sick though, so we have felt very blessed. The last picture is him tonight just before going to bed. It was so cute (and very nice) to watch him fall asleep with the mask on after so many fits were pitched this week.

Forts

Sorry about the long span since posts, but Joshua has been walking pretty heavily since we were out in Michigan and he got to see a bunch of cousins at Christmas time and it takes more energy to keep up with him. :) He definitely loves the new found freedom of walking. He is a pretty self confident little boy which we can see from all the bruises he gets from trying to run or from experiments with walking on different toys and surfaces. But he is a boy, and needs to learn how to take a couple bumps and crashes right? This is just a short video of a little fort we got him for Christmas, but of course I can't let it just be the nylon structure and decide that we need to couch cushions and a couple blankets too. :)
